MY TESTIMONY

I cannot even begin to count the many wonderful blessings God has given to me. He has done so much for me, I canNOT tell it all.
One of the things I am most thankful for is something He helped deliver me from. Not too long ago, I would go to youth events and watch the way people seemed to be able to worship so freely. I longed to feel that freedome as well, instead of feeling as if I was being stared at and criticized with every move I made. In reality, I just had a problem with intimidation.
A few months ago, I heard a speaker at a youth event preach about the spirit of intimidation, and how it could prevent you from going deeper in God and getting what you really needed from Him. I will never forget when he said, "Some of you need to realize that it's not what your friends think that matters! What really matters is what God thinks! If the people that you call your friends are going to make fun of you for praising and worshipping Jesus Christ, the One Who died to make you free in the first place, then you don't need those friends anyway!"
I have finally realized that God's opinion of me is the only one I should be worrying about. He has slowly helped me to realize this and to get to the point where I just don't care any more. People are free to say and think whatever they want about me. If I feel like dancing, then I'm gonna dance! If I feel like clapping, then I'm gonna clap! If I feel like shouting, I'm gonna shout! If I feel like singing, then I'm gonna sing His praises!
God is so amazing. I am very thankful that Jesus has delivered me from my mountain of intimidation. I am so glad that I can finally say...I AM FREE!!!
