MY TESTIMONY by Niki Cheatham
I was dedicated to the Lord when I was a baby, at an Assembly of God Church. Although my mother and father divorced, my mom raised me to the best she knew, and that included knowing and loving God. I am thankful that my grandmother and mother never gave up on wanting me to know more about the Lord and His ways. It has inspired me to not give up. I have had my times of struggles, and even made some mistakes; but, by the grace of God and prayer, these have brought spiritual growth. This has enabled me to experience more of God's power and truth, turning the things that tried to trip me up into stepping stones, to learn more about the spiritual things of God. If you haven't experienced bible salvation as recorded in the Book of Acts, you can read about it (Acts 2:38). God will not fail you. What He has promised, He is well able to do.
By building upon my early yearrs of going to church, it has enabled me to be blessed in so many ways. I met a wonderful man named Shawn, and we were married and are raising our children to personally know the Lord Jesus Christ. We attend the Paoli Pentecostal Church, together with my mother and grandmother. I am still growing in the Lord and want the blessings He has given me to help me share His Truth with others--those who are trying their best to do right and to know what is right.
Life can be overwhelming at times, but don't give up. Let it be the thing that enables you to know God better and to receive more from Him. God has promised those who really desire Him, to find Him and experience Him in a more full way. Jesus wants to be your best Friend; and, as your Friend, He will help you while guiding you into more of His Truth. Don't give up!
